Most likely, they just wanted to play. I think that while floating in the amniotic fluid, they awoke to a brief dream, and for a short moment simply enjoyed some innocent play. Innocently, purely, artlessly... There is no malice in their brand new, pure hearts, and because they have no malice, they also have no conscience.
The everyman is as much defined by his lies as living honestly. In fact I think it's probably much more slated towards the former. One of my early 'pills on this came in the form of DPS measurements in World of Warcraft.
