A very large number of people here and on FH want to develop RPG games (Pseudo is inspirational in certain aspects).
I am in that group of people ^.^ and so are many others who will be reading this thread.
Let us discuss about the things that make an RPG game enjoyable, so that we all have our priorities right (If any of us actually get down to completing one)
Share your opinions on storyline, gameplay, battle systems, music, dialogue, pace of the game, graphics, everything.
(Note: Since there is so much confusion over the definition of an RPG game, I am referring to one like Mardek or Final Fantasy X. Some branching of story lines and alternate endings are fine too, but not as open ended as say, Skyrim. Skyrim is a great RPG too but it's not the kind of game I'm aiming at (Not implying that I can ever reach the epicness of Skyrim :( ). )
I will post my opinions too, but I will need to think about it. I'll post it tomorrow or day after, hopefully we will have some discussion started by then...
Neither. Heaven and hell act as incentives for people to do good and reduce global suffering, yet the way you put it implies people will experience heightened happiness at the expense of the suffering of others, which makes it a grim concept.
Would you rather start a revolution (and cause great pain and conflict) to improve society (In your eyes), or maintain peace at the expense of perfection? (Consider both Hitler's campaign and the Civil Rights Movement as examples)
On these forum threads, and on the members list, there should be the option of skipping directly to page number X. Perhaps even buttons to skip to the first or last page. Most forums have it so you should know what I'm talking about.
Indefinitely clicking "More" is a tiring exercise.
If you had said "Kills <more than one> arbitrary persons" then it might have been a dilemma. I would save myself ofcourse.
I will simply echo your question making it more interesting, since I can't think of one myself right now :S
Would you rather press a button that kills TWO arbitrary persons on the planet, or kill yourself?
Would you rather have intercourse with a goat and nobody knowing about it, or not have intercourse with a goat and have everyone else believe you did? (Replace "goat" with whatever is highly unacceptable to you and those around you)
I think the stars next to people's names are supposed to indicate "friend" or "fan" or something like that.
It works just fine when I am on the "List of members" page or the forums, but for some reason not on chat.
I use the "Bulky" chat layout (I like seeing avatars) and I get a hollow star next to Savvy's name (Although I have not added him as a friend, neither has he added me) and a full star next to Frances' name (Same conditions).
Also, I was trying to add a poll to one of my posts and I kept getting an HTTP 500 error

About the chat messages overlapping with timestamps names etc. it happens with me too, BUT NOT IN THE BULKY LAYOUT. I use the "bulky" layout for chat and everything is fine. Others should use it too!
