Okay, here is the deal. If 15 people currently use this site, I will create a large number of threads about a variety of topics to create a large surplus of threads and maintain the site.
I'm thinking lets just create a whole color scheme by hand, instead of these poorly-made colors that mirror Archive's scheme. It seems that bright background colors look bad on this site, and I would prefer the darker bluish-tealish Blue Archive has.
Also, can you use rgba's for the colors (for transparency!) and replace the simple purple background with a gradient or image?
The yellow, scarlet, and blue kind of suck.
I'd also want to see a Fun category.
Add vote limits to multiple choice polls as well, so I can limit it to 2 or 3 (or 4!) options.
Try to add as little rules as possible, is my main opinion.
The ones that do need to be added for a conducive environment, however, are:
1. Don't be harshly critical against a member or show a lack of feeling for a member. Make sure to show empathy.
2. Don't spam or hack.
3. Make sure you can articulate your thoughts reliably.
Make sure moderators have a valid and good reason before banning or infracting someone. "Because he was disruptive" and nothing more is not a good reason (trolling, however, is a great reason) for a perma-ban!
Being disruptive is a perfectly good reason to give someone a warning/tip on how they can not do that. Banning them without warnings and/or discussion is generally not a good idea, unless it is blatantly obvious that they have no intention other than to troll.
This is not a very specific community site, from what I can gather, so that first rule should be only expected to reasonable amounts, depending on the specific forum categories for those things.
I believe to solve a lot of the problems with disruptive or unwanted members would be the ability to hide a person from appearing, if you so wish, so that people you have no interest in communicating with can be hidden or blocked or whatever. Because otherwise, their friends will get all angry and stuff, even though they did the wrong thing. I think hidden or blocked people should still be able to send PMs and stuff, but with the person marked as blocked/muted/hidden, so that you can decide whether you do or don't want to read it. If there is a member that didn't intend to do you any wrong, it would be bad if there was no way for them to apologize or whatever.
Please note: I'm doubting if 4w5 is really my core, as Scinty revealed some of my hidden weaknesses in a PM conversation, and told me that I could be a type 6. I'm also confused about my instinctual variants, though I seem to fit the Sp 6 well.
Anyway, try not to type me based on type or like/dislike basis. I'm doubting my other types and like/dislike doesn't give veracity.
I seem to be better with interacting and replying to posts than writing large ones, so if you have questions just ask.
My hidden weaknesses are that I tend to overestimate how much I trust people and tend to have poor reactions to authority.
I also wish to not be angry as I feel it is destructive. I don't want to have to deal with that.
I have this as a short but accurate description of myself: "I'm a sentient being that seems lost in fantasy. I doubt myself and have a poor understanding of myself. I like to think of myself as "fairy-like", subtle and sensitive and light like a fairy. I am very unusual for a person."
I'm very unsure of myself, and want to believe in something (which is why I want to be spiritual). I also feel like an outsider, thinking that the world doesn't seem right for me, like how compassion to most sentient beings isn't the norm (at least for men) apparently.
MOTIV typing is a system based on reward drives, and is shown similar to Big Five types (large letter - large preference, small letter - small preference, x in place of letter - balanced).
The types possible are these:
M - Materialistic, driven to fit external ideals; as opposed to S - Subjectivistic, driven to fit your internal ideals. O - Offbeat, desire to be unconventional; as opposed to C - Conventional, desire to be traditional and true to old ways. T - Thinking, desire to be logical and rational; as opposed to E - Emotional, desire to be feeling or instinct driven. I - Intimate, focus on others; as opposed to W - Withholding, focus on self V - Vital, desire to be alive; as opposed to D - Depressive, negative outlook on life.
