Okay, so, some background: There's another forum that I used to be a part of that's kinda falling apart recently. Basically, there used to be this webcomic/forums, but the creator had to shut it down, so the people who frequented the forum founded a backup forum. But now people are become less and less active and the lifeblood of that forum is being threatened, and they don't *want* to be separated, but aren't sure what to do. I mentioned that "another place I frequent has been falling apart"(fighunter) in passing. The point of me saying this is, would you guys be interested, or even just all right, with basically, a merger - the guys from that forum coming over here and taking up residence here and such? It's not too many people, I don't believe - between 6 to 8? I said that I didn't think it would be fitting, but I'd ask, so... what do you all think?
i would personally not mind at all; in fact, a few new people would be fairly novel after such a long period of stagnation. especially with such a disused forum, i don't see any harm in letting them in. ofc, it's savage's site and ultimately his decision.
I should clear up that I'm not "blocking" this. If you people want other people here then feel free. I'm just saying that personally I... Well, I'm scared and paranoid, really.
Personally I always would like to welcome newcomers! New members are a welcomed site, in my opinion, and I would like to see this site become something active, fun and interactive!(^_^)
I'd support such a "merger." This place needs more activity, after all, and newcomers are always welcome! I think that they might find this place a little more welcoming than Fig, as I think this site has a better atmosphere.
We do have to consider our host's mental stability. Since Savage is not in the best mental state as of late, I think that they should only come over if they are willing to be polite, respectful, and follow the rules.
Would these people be willing to partake in intellectual discussions?
This is probably happening. We're still debating over it; we're kinda on the fence. I personally think it'll happen. But it's nice to know that there's a mostly favorable response here.
