The site is now open, yay! Post "opinions" and bugs here! Just remember that if you see a "500 error page" thing, then it should have emailed me, so I probably know about it already.
I like this site a lot! Basically just as good as oldfig, but with an admin that actually is working to improve the site! Yay! Anyway, this is all good, but I think that this posting box is a little, well, long. I mean, I've said all of this, and I'm just now filling up the row. It's just a personal thing, but posts would probably look more professional.
Also, would it be difficult to allow multiple rating systems? It would be nice, with such a small population, to see what everyone thinks, even if I can only rate one thing.
Are you planning to add any actual content (no offense) here? Would you take in reasonably good original user creations? What about adding some kind of arcade room like some forums have (I'm not sure exactly how it works, it might be difficult, but it would be fun to compete for high scores against fellow figgies.)
Would you mind giving more feedback on ways the colours hurt? And offer suggestions on how they can be improved? Hell, I could even give you the CSS file and let you fix it yourself if it's such a big problem.
I am slowly editing colours to make them slightly better, particularly links, but it 's a slow, creative process.
I remember sending you a detailed PM on Fig Hunter with what I found wrong with each and every colour, months ago, but I've lost that it seems.
I wouldn't mind having a copy of the CSS so I can mess around with colour combinations in some form of graphical editor thingy thing, and see what looks good and what doesn't, though.
I think that if members were to interact more in the forums and the Chat like we did on OldFig, it will eventually attract members from the decaying MainFig.
Also, fixing bugs is a good way to encourage use. Just seeing that the admin is active and caring might be able to attract people. (Don't take my word for it, though.)
When using a mobile device, buttons (not text editors, things like friending or casting votes) don't seem to respond to being clicked, so nothing happens. I don't know if this is a problem on the PC site as well.
Usually all it does is changes the star from an outline to a coloured in star. That's all you'll see, but now people are notified that someone friended them, unless they removed it, I suppose... or maybe they're notified for both?
When you press CTRL+SHIFT+J (Chrome) or CTRL+SHIFT+K (Firefox), are there any errors when you click the button? And in the network panel, are there any errors there, either?
Also, when you friend or unfriend someone, the other person gets a notification, unless you friend them and unfriend them before they see the first one.
Hei thar mortals, Sapp, Savvy. I found this thing, so I'll go ahead and mention something about the mobile form of this site again (not that I said anything, but Lazulus did). I don't know whether or not this is only for the theme I have right now, although in the chat, mobile version, everything is kind of squished and the messages are basically partially covered by the time thing, and also squished together. I don't know if anything could be done, just pointing this out. I apologize for any mistakes in grammar or spelling. I considering spelling 'spelling' wrong and have improper grammar in that last sentence, but decided against it. I'm on mobile by the way, if you want specifics, Savvy, PM me, please. If you even see this.
