Same as Macheman. Final Fantasy Tactics. For the past 8-ish years whenever I look back at my childhood and wish I had more time for one specific game it's always been FFT. I never even finished it and still long to play it to this day (I say while in the process of setting up a Playstation 1 emulator right now). After that the games I'd say I spent the next most mount of time on can be split between Pikmen (1) and Paper Mario: Thousand Year door.
Name: AnD (He spells it AnD but it's pronounced Andy)
Stats:
Strength - 17 (after seeing my other stats I so wish this was 18. Y'know, to make up for all the low rolls.) Constitution - 13 Intelligence - 5 (3,1,1,1 I was not destined to be smart) Wisdom - 12 Dexterity - 14 Charisma - 6 (3,2,1 like a countdown!)
Race: Human (I wanted to be a Kirby but you restricted me you evil being.)
Class: Bad Guy Fighter - Consumer of Evil (Class worked better when I was a Kirby) (Reworked name for class Bad Guy Fighter - Crusher (y'know cause the hugs) of Evil) Either way although I say fighter I really feel it's more akin to a Barbarian.
Allignment: Neutral-Good
Bio: Likes - Hugs, Dislikes - Mean People || Dropped on his head as a child his brain was damaged to the point of retardation. He doesn't communicate well with others and very much feels uncomfortable in the presence of too many people. Often worried about wether people will like him or not due to the massive dent is his face he avoids showing it to those he doesn't trust and wears a mask over his face. Favorite greeting - hugs, favorite goodbye - hugs, favorite animal - bears (becasue hugs), favorite attack - grapple to hug. Low-level mastery of the spoken language almost nonexistant ability in written language.
Due to his many faults and brutish appearance most avoid him but those that know him well find that he's just a big adorable lug who likes to hug.
Not sure if this is a bug or a feature but threads don't update most recent post when there is a reply to a previous post in a topic rather than an all new post in a topic.
For me the most important part of an RPG is the system. I tend to spend hours finding the best ways to play a certain system and find out exactly how it works. A bit vague I guess but using lets use one of the games on my wall. (looking for a game)
Resonance of fate: The system in this game revolved around three things (in no particular order).
1) How many bezel shards you had. (Determined special abilities in combat)
2) Your overall level (overall level is level in handguns + level in grenades + level in machineguns) which determined total weight you can carry.
3) Your gun customization which determined in battle attributes.
So most of my time with this game was spent figuring out the best way to customize the guns with the limited wight I had available.
Another game off my wall. (searching)
Tales of Vesperia: This is either the simplest or most complex game on the wall depending on how you play it.
I'll explain this game differently from RoF since it's far more complex. You can play this game two ways. The way where you fight you way through the game and do no extra arte or item searching eventually beating the game. Or you can delve into the games arte and crafting mechanics. If you want to get the most out of the arte and crafting mechanics then you have to learn about the enemies and the battle and drop mechanics. If want to get all of that then you have to do the sidequests for alternate versions and other such things. This game I would have to write a literal essay to fully explain the mechanics. Suffice to say in one sentence. The entire system of this game works together. Well. And I love it.
